- Oxygen cylinder with Multi-flow oxygen regulator and one spare, stored centrally
- Pocket mask with oxygen nipple
- Bag-valve-mask*
- Hand held suction
- Basic first aid equipment
- Shock advisory
*Training in the effective use of a bag-valve-mask device and shock advisory defibrillator is vital to ensure effective use in a clinical emergency.
Supplementary oxygen during cardio-pulmonary resuscitation is a vital adjunct especially after the initial 5 minutes. In addition it has an important role in medical and surgical emergencies (other than CPR). For example as adjunctive therapy in the following emergencies:
- Unconscious patient
- Near drowning
- Cardiac chest pain
- Acute asthma
We can provide various cylinder sizes and flow rates of oxygen delivery to meet your requirements. This can range from a standard cylinder with a pre-set flow rate of 8 litres per minute through to a lightweight cylinder with a variable flow metre.
Early CPR with oxygen therapy - We will provide you with the equipment and training so that designated first aiders can instigate oxygen enriched basic life support. An additional benefit is the regular refresher training that first aiders will receive in basic life support. Without adequate training basic life support is often poorly performed by first aiders especially those who receive infrequent exposure and support training.
