Responder Analgesic System (a 50/50 mix of Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide)

This is an inhaled analgesic gas, which has been used in the ambulance service since 1970. It is highly effective at relieving pain but is non addictive and highly suitable for use by specially trained first aid personnel.

Pain relief is vital on both humanitarian grounds and to reduce post incident complications. Analgesic gas has been successfully used to treat all types of pain and is commonly used to treat the pain associated with:

• Cardiac related chest pain
• Fractures and dislocations
• Burns
• Childbirth
